The "exotics" of the muscle car world were ledgends back in the day.

That fellow I spoke of who put the tractor pulling blown 426 in his 'Cuda was an icon around town. The car was tubbed and ran 21" wide McCrearys. One of my buddies had an LS6 Chevelle, another a 455 T/A, 427SCJ Fairlane, the list goes on and on. The original LT-1 was more rare than hen's teeth, never saw one of those.

Now the late model muscle cars are truely unbelievable. The new Z06 delivers unworldly power at high-end SUV pricing.

Here is my first hotrod. 406 small block with dual 426 Hemi AFBs. Ralph Nader would have given the Corvair a 5 star safety rating after spending 30 seconds in this car. It came stock with a 350ci small block and drum brakes on 13" wheels.
