Bump steer kits are various parts & pieces that are intended to correct the tie-rod bind caused by improper geometry in the front suspension.
This improper geometry if generally caused by the lowering of the car below factory spec.'s. Which during suspension travel, causes the arch swing of the tie-rod to be grossly incorrect and some degree of bind can occur. This causes a degree of unwanted steering input.
Early 911's have some bump steer right from the factory, and that gets worse with lowering the car.
The common kits available are either a spacer kit for the steering rack, or a tie-rod end kit that contains new tie-rod & spacers.
What is available for a lowered 965, I do not know. Good luck with your project!
