I have to disagree somewhat skul. I think the one's that jumped on the bandwagon were Porsche. The majority reaction here is predicatable, but if I try and divorce myself from any "they should be racing" thoughts, etc, here's what I think:

It looks like an suv. It could easily be the newest suv by any number of car makers. You can't say that about the Boxster or 911 (yet). Maybe I'm biased because I really don't like suvs (even though I'm driving one). I also hate the wheels. And can you even buy it with a manual transmission?

Maybe it looks better in person...but I'll bet it will still look like an suv. If I needed equivalent capacity I would take an RS4 in a heartbeat. All the performance and better looking imho. Hell, I'd settle for an S4 Avant. You can chip that wagon and be sub-6 seconds. And I'll bet the interior is more comfortable to boot.
