I haven't calibrate my sensor so can't say its 100% accurate. But, a) it reads high/low correctly based on ambient temp (e.g. 1st thing in the morning, it reads pretty much dead on to my garage temp before starting the engine) , b) it will/may fluctuate +/- 1deg even during steady state driving so I presume the reaction time is there.

Not sure why you say my data is counter-intuitive? When ambient air temp drops, I do feel more hp & vice versa. What I was commenting is based on hp ~ P/T, assuming T is stable and I'm not increasing P (as seen by the MAP sensor) then how could hp goes up?

Now with others chimed in, I think the point I'm missing might be the V in the equation... if the turbo can produce enough CFM to "completely" fill the volume in the given time then I'm not maximizing hp?
