New brake pad install....forgot 20degree

Hi all, I did my first pad change last night and was guided by a friend who's done a few. Everything went smooth (except for a couple of cracked sensor housings) and took about 1 hour. This morning I realized that the words "20 degrees" didn't come out of either of our mouths. We just pulled the old pads, pressed out the pistons, inserted new pads. I did a bit of break-in and found no problems at all, works great.

Am I looking at imminent disaster not having aligned the pads at the specified 20 degrees? Should I go back in and do it again? What possible outcomes of not having done it?
