By bad cold start, do you mean the engine put-put-puts to life slowly building rpm before clearing out and running at smooth high rpm? Or does it just take longer to crank and start?
What is the temperature in your area?

- Measure your cold fuel pressure to verify it is in spec.
- Check for vacuum leaks, pay attention to hoses and phenolic blocks, check intake bolts.
- Check operation of factory BOV, does it "click" with a tin sound?
- Wait until the problem gets worse and the culprit will be easier to isolate.
