La Carrera Classic (open road race that used to be held in Baja from Ensenada towards San Felipe and the reverse in the fall) - 3.3 based engine with spearco intercooler, k36 turbo on 935 headers, cams, 105 octane, 1.2 bar 2400 lbs 935 front end with air gtu rear quarters and imsa gtu whale tail , 16" rim large diameter BFG Radial T/A and a 14 mile long straight. Yielded 195-205 mph about 500 rpm shy of redline (7300)
You are pushing a LOT of air at those speeds. You also have a seemingly long amount of time to realize how dangerous it is. Thoughts go thru your head like " At this speed, if a cv broke, it would come straight thru the aluminum rear decks and ..." At this speed if a tire blew, we could flip and bounce x # of times..." At this speed... and so on

Modern aerodynamics are sooo much better than yesteryear. Though a small shop born effort like ours was very exciting, and the road was "officially closed", this is not something i would repeat again without more adherence to what the factory proved with a full 935 package to keep the car on the road
