I just got the Rebel Racing coilover kit for the rear, with some 250 lb "helper" springs and revalved Bilsteins appropriate for my setup. I have 31 mm rear torsion bars, but they just aren't enough for my car on the track. I have the coilovers installed, but I haven't set them up the way I want them yet. My understanding is that I need to lower the car (re-index the T-bars) somewhat and then bring it back to the desired ride height using the adjustable spring perch. The question is: how much? I'm thinking somewhere on the order of 3/4 to 1 inch. Too much and I risk coil binding; too little and I could lift off the springs under cornering. Despite the complexity of having two sets of springs in the rear, I liked that idea better than either risking chassis damage from full coilovers, or reinforcing (with a cage) which I'm just not ready to do yet.
