After reading all the information available.. it seems to me that it comes down to Mobil One V-twin 20w-50 being the best of the best.
It is still high in ZDDP because motorcycles don't have catalytic converters yet, and it's synthetic so it has a higher flashpoint than non synthetic oil.
That lowers the chance of oil carbonizing in the extremely hot turbo bearing housing after shutting down the motor.
Also, it is made for the localised heat of air cooled motorcycle engines... alot like our engines.

You can usually find it in the small motorcycle section of Walmart for around $8.50 per quart, or a little more at auto part stores.

Second best seems to be Brad Penn 20w-50.
Some people say it's the best and they are usually the ones using it or selling it.
It is definately one of the best choices and cost alot less than the best synthetics.

Valvoline racing oil has always been good too, and probably still is. They call it VR1 off road racing oil nowadays.

Amsoil is considered possibly a little better than Redline and Royal Purple racing synthetics... but who really knows.
It seems the formulations may be getting changed at least once a year these days.
