Yes, it makes sense. I always soaked mine in injector cleaner be used brake cleaner with the red plastic tube stuck in them to get them clean and check the spray pattern.

There was a good write up here (or Rennlist) from someone who did something better. He lifted the pintles with a coil of wire, soaked them in cleaner, and blew them out with air. Repeated until they were good to go.

Do a search and try this first if you want to save some money.
