rear bumper gets very hot - does yours?

I've had my 930 a few weeks and am still getting use to it. I notice the rear bumper gets very hot to the touch - almost too hot to touch. Dash gauge shows temps in normak range for oil.

Is it normal for 930's to get hot rear bumpers?

I'm wondering if the cat is plugged (82k miles). I plan to check timing, too.
I guess the fuel mix could also be off, too (Digi WUR is on order).

I've already checked all intercooler seals and tube seals. All either good or have been replaced and lubed.

Before I go down the road of assuming this is not normal, and chasing all variables, I figured I'd ask the group.
