Alright Dave, Sorry to put words in your mouth

Let me ask you this: If the missing oil is in the sump, versus being a victim to thermodynamics (much like my penis in a cold swiming pool), then why doesn't the oil level read full right after an oil change?? Afterall, you've emptied the sump, and poured 10-11 qts in the tank. There is no way it seeps past the oil pump into the case that fast...

Oh, btw, the 964 still has one filter

sorry for the hijack, I can't resist the urge to be playful.
If I were any good at photoshop, I'd plaster a 911 oil filter and a bottle of Mobil 1 in a picture of Palin, or better yet Tina Fey playing Palin on SNL(you'll have to use your imagination)
