Manual Heat

To make room for the air filter and turbo's cold-side hose, I had to lose the hose that goes to the driver's side heat exchanger. Also, the little fan contraption behind the ashtray was making a noise that made driving intolerable, thus I yanked the brown wire and the noise disappeared.

I don't know if the slayed fan is for fresh air, a/c, or heat, but either way, I ain't getting ***** for heat. I'm not hearing any fan switch on when I turn on the heat knob between the seats. (This car doesn't have levers, but heat # 1-7.)

Yes, the openings at the driver's side heat exchanger and such are sealed.

Any thoughts??
