I agree,
14's on cruise, 12.2 on boost for EFI but most like 11.5 on boost with CIS.
The dizzy isn't an issue the difference in ignition curves are a mute point.
If you were really concerned with the timing I think a J&S unit would be the best addition.
Pat from one of your last post AFR's of 15 running it hard on the track is more than likely the culprit. I'd have to say the AFR's being too lean were the problem and not the timing.
