Check the ball bearing first, then do a scavenge pump test: using a clear measuring cup full of oil. Drain turbo feed line into the cup, then run a tub up to scavenge pump. Run the engine, and watch the level. There is a thread on this.

You may also want to pull the intercooler, and see if there is any signs of oil on the intake side of the turbo. If so, the seals have blown.
On another note:
Is it bad practice to install the later cam line restrictors in the 930 engine?
