Well mine is a 1983 930, and my intercooler always has a drop or two of oil resting in the pressure tube "O" ring connection leading into the intercooler. However, the car never smokes at idle or under any driving condition, only an very occasional 1/2 second puff at start up. I'm under the impression that this is normal stuff.
Abnormal engine oil smoke stuff is..smoke under deceleration= valve guides/top end, smoke under load/acceleration = rings, smoke at idle=seals.
Please correct me if I'm wrong!
