The radiator does not need to be removed to take those gears off the crank, only the radiator fans which is easy (6 screws, 3 on top, 3 on come right out from the bottom). The crank bolt can be a bear to get loose and i really recommend a flywheel lock. But i figure its worth doing everything now so you dont have to deal with another oil leak 5k miles down the road.
