That may be a possibility. I was thinking if you want to lower the boost couldn't you reverse the press. you throttle for example to raise boost pressure you throttle the pressure on top of the diaphram to keep the valve closed longer, what would happen if you throttled the press. on the bottom of the dia. to open the valve sooner.
