.. cl8ton......So as you are using the non original competition lightweight clutch ( used in the 77 and prior 930 ) instead of the later rubber disc one you will need the corresponding TO bearing. Patrick Motorsports ( Phoenix AZ ) indeed will have the correct TO bearing for your application. Just give them the list of parts you have, the year of the transaxle & bell housing and they will get you the right part(s). I went thru this myself with lots of hassle until I made the call. I did the reverse. I had the same clutch set up as yours in a 88 transaxle. I had my bell housing re-machined to short bell housing trans spec ( sans Patrick Motorsports) so it would work in a pre 78 chassis application. I had to discard the ring gear spacer and get the short TO bearing.
