....I think that the bean counters had a good point in mass production, however the way the originators wanted it is more valid to Porsche racing heritage. In reverse, look at the 1962-3 Ferrari GTO, 30 odd built and somewhere north of $12 million today, was based on a 250 chassis somewhere south of $200K. I believe, had it been offered as a limited RS version as the good Dr's wanted, WHO KNOWS what the rarity and value would be today. What is still relevant, is we can still reconfigure a 930 to its roots and once the folks get to know the history they may view them differently. I'll still take mine "light" with more HP please.
