Inlet temps from the turbo under load are on the order of 350 degrees F which should be max surface temps you will see on the inlet tank. Unless it gets slightly higher from heat soaking after shutdown....but doubt it.
Low emmisity paint might help with heat transfer on the end tanks....read "black paint" but probably anything less than bare aluminum on the cores should be avoided.
