+1........ where the axle is under the stresses and chances of the most "wrap up" before physically snapping. The wheel hop induces these in successive order and is where most axle failures will occur. Drag racing with hard launches and off road racing(rally for example) where rapid succession shock loads and twisting are common are going to be the highest fail point cases.

Once the car is moving along a track it's highly unlikely you'll ever subject a failure that not extreme wear related.
