Funny I was going to use that analogy. Tires are like shoes, one pair might be more light weight and one pair might be more durable and one pair might feel better but at the end of the day all modern tires are very capable.

So with sumis you get a better price and give up a small fraction of performance, not something that would be noticeable on the street normally. I consider the Toyo and Michelin tires to be about the best street tires, but you do pay more.

I think the Sumis are pretty wide in terms of tread width and section width in their size range which is good to fill out the wheel wells.
