Let's see, Garrison, you've just recently taken possession of your beauty, and after puting on a few miles you find this shifting problem? Definitely listen to us-two Mark's and don't panic yet. It is an easy and relatively painless job to rebuild the shift linkage and/or coupler if that's the culprit, and also very simple to check and adjust the linkage for proper throw/alignment. And don't forget to make sure your clutch is properly adjusted. If the disc is dragging - and not completely releasing with the pedal all the way down - then of course it could result in difficult shifting. Go after the obvious first. All the information you would ever need is in this forum, if you don't have access to a shop manual...and even those are readily available as pdf documents on line.
Mark H. 1987 930, GP White, Wevo shifter, Borla exhaust, stock everything else. The result of a massive Pelicanite good will fire recovery effort. Truely an open book, ready for the slippery slopes to modification.
