Final update... for now

Well, I have waited until I had 1,000 miles on a single oil change. I replaced my oil about 3 times after the rebuild (rocker arm shaft replacement, new front oil cooler and something else I can't remember.. oh it was the valve adjustment after 1,000 miles on rebuild) so I have been eagerly waiting to get to the 1,000 mile mark so I can see how much oil I am burning.

The 1,000 miles includes trip to Laguna Seca for Historics race, trip to Paso Robles wine tasting with the wifey, and most recently (today) a trip to 6,000 feet to Shaver Lake (pics included) which have equaled up to 999 miles.

So, how much oil is it using...? The dipstick has not budged and it was just below the top dots and it is still there. I guess this is normal for a new motor with well seated rings but I am surprised it is this tight.

Very happy to say the least. here are a few pics from today.
