Well all I can say is that, all American roots style hot rod V8 super charger applications, have a "to atmosphere" pop off plate. There is not 1 blown American V8 hot rod that has a recirculation valve in the system.
Sure new modern factory supercharged cars might have them in place, in order to help smooth throttle inputs, but that's all it is doing is smoothing transitions and aiding emissions. It is not there to prevent "pressure waves" from fragging the blower!
If a blower housing can not handle backpressure that is equall to it's intended output, then what good is it? I call BS on this excuse!
