I didn't use locktite in the air plugs, and I had two fall out....and I had them cinched in pretty tight. I finally went to my indie at IPB Autosport who keeps a set of those plugs produced by Mercedes that have locktite already applied to the last 1/4 inch of the threaded plug....haven't had another one drop out.

You may encounter a difference of opinion here....but one of the plugs that fell out just HAD to be the one under the SSI heat exchanger....so it involved quite a bit of work to drop the exchanger and install the damn plug. Why risk one backing out. Locktite is cheap. Believe me it's embarrassing to have a really pristine car sitting at a stop light making a noise like a cheap lawnmower. Makes one look straight ahead and try to ignore the snickers.
