Running your engine with the overboost sensor disconnected with not do anything - litterally. The overboost switch is a safety device that will shut down the fuel pumps should your boost hit >1.1bar. Stock boost is set for 0.75 bar so this should never happen in a healthy car.
You decide if it is worth connecting.

EDIT - you can see the connector hiding just left and down from the switch in your picture. It has a black spade. Plug it in.
