Not sure where you got that, but most don't go over 20 degrees total under full boost. A good reason for using the optional MAP for boost retard. You set the unboosted timing curve, then let the MAP retard it as the boost builds.

Read the long thread I posted the link to. Every engines timing demands are slightly different, so what may work for others might not work for you. Even worse, you may reach detonation and seriously damaged your engine if you randomly set the timing.
