DIY fab work will significantly reduce the cost. K16s are cheap used turbos as well.
The bridge between twins and single turbos is much more narrow than it used to be. Twins have the bad-ass factor but return less value when considering cost, weight, complexity vs true performance. I would wager that there would not be a significant butt dyno performance difference between a properly setup single vs twin turbo 500HP EFI 930.
It is obvious that your mind is made up on this so we look forward to pictures and info. Twins are cool and if I had time I'd add them to my car just for that reason alone.
