I can speak from experience - its is achievable

And it is expensive.

Here is a "brief" description of my build:
- 930 base engine
- 3.4L (98mm) Mahle P&C's, flame ringed
- Carrillo Con Rods
- GT3 Oil pump
- AASCO Twin Plugged heads, ported with new valves, Web springs & titanium retainers
- Porsche Motorsport Super Cup cams
- Twin K24/14 Turbo Chargers, balanced and blueprinted, hot side thermal coating
- Custom headers
- Twin O2 sensors
- Griffin full bay intercooler
- 993 TT Inlet manifold with custom injector risers
- Cam Sync Senor & Crank position Sensor

This is still a work in progress so I don't have any HP and Torque numbers yet.

Fitting this 930TT into a 911 chassis presents a few problems. The biggest being:
- Height on the whole set up to fit under the rear shelf / need to modify the sheet metal.
- RH turbo is too close to the oil tank / moving to a front mounted tank.
- Fitting the intercooler under the rear wing / still cutting and trimming fiberglass
- Getting enough oil cooling / RSR front mount + one in each fender

I am also a "tinkerer" and chose this direction to have something a little bit different.

Good luck with your decision.
Richard.
