Bill, your installation of the LC-1 is very nice...I've got to tidy mine up now to keep up.

I will probably get the Dl-32 so I can log without a laptop. Obviously I want to keep the electronics out of the engine compartment. Unlike you Bill, I don't have a dedicated boost/vac line from the engine compartment to tap into, as my clock replacement boost gauge is fed by the brake booster line. I've considered locating the Dl-32 in the front trunk area as I have easy access to boost/vac signal off of the brake booster line, can get rpm from the tach, and of course 12volt. Problem with the front trunk location is that its far away from the engine compartment if I want to use the thermocouple amp and log CHT or EGT (and why not since its available?). So I guess underseat will be the way to go and I just need to add some air plumbing in addition to the wires.
