Since it wouldn't start with the oil temp at 170, I'm going to call this a warm car and say it has nothing to do with typical cold start systems. I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

My money would be on one of several things fuel related. Overboost switch, yellow overboost relay, and/or fuel pump relays/fuses. I suspect that your fuel pumps weren't running when she failed to start, and any of the above will keep them from running if faulty/dirty. Unfortunately it's sporadic when it happens and can be very frustrating to find the culprit...as intermittent things are only discoverable when the car completely refuses to start. There is a ton of discussion on this topic.

Of course, I could be totally wrong and it may be a faulty WUR or ignition related. Next time it happens, first pray that you're not far from home and then do a quickie fault diagnosis to determine if you are getting fuel and spark. At least that will point you in the right direction.
