I don't know of anyone who does this on schedule. I've also never seen a car/truck come back from a dealer or brake shop after having its fluid replaced and there be any sign of the fluid actually being replaced.

I probably do it every 2 to 3 years unless I'm going to the track and then I change it if it's been more than 6 months.
