The compression check I performed prior to teardown was quite telling with significant differences in values between the various cylinders. I also had major crankcase pressure which i'm sure was created by the lack of sealing in the P&C's... The broken rings were confirmed upon opening the engine up.

My original goal when going in to the engine was for top end reseal, but curiosity got the better of me and I went down to the crank and went ahead with a full rebuild plus some "while your in there" stuff like the cams and head porting to match the intake
