Make sure you do not grease clutch release bearing. I did, and had the same issue as you. Cleaned the release bearing, and shaft, now it is smooth as butter.

Could also be the clutch cable. Something is holding the clutch back from the flywheel. That would explain why it is only happening when you let out slow. If you let out fast, the spring in the clutch is snapping it back in place.
