I talked to Clint today. I told him your issue and asked him to email you. He thinks what the mechanic is talking about are the "linear bushings" which are a split-sleeve like piece of metal with Teflon on the inside.

Clint has the bushings and offers both a rebuilding and revalving service. The price is better than through Bilstein- Bilstein buys their parts from a third-party supplier.

Let me know if you do not hear from him by Monday evening.

Can you post a photo of the strut to see if it is, in fact, sourced originally from RSR Products?
