I remember when you could buy those new for around $800 from Crutchfield in 1977.
I think it was called the Blaupunkt Bamberg Electronic with the gooseneck.
It was the top of the line radio and they were still made in Germany.

At the same time the excellent and more powerful Blaupunkt in dash AM FM autoreverse cassette radio was made in Japan. This one was a real 7watts per channel RMS and that was alot back then.

At that time only the underdash Craig Powerplay AM FM cassette was more powerful with 10 or 12 watts per channel RMS.
