I just recently installed new stabilus shocks while replacing the engine pad with a new lightweight one from our host.
The engine lid still needed a boost for the latch to release. After adjusting the position of the latch , it now works fine. The lid should not lift by itself until its lifted about 8 inches or so.
You have to be real careful in adjusting the position of the latch rod, if it jams in the lower jaws or is incorrectly aligned, you could be in for a long day trying to open the lid.
I had another 930 a few years back that i installed another spring inside the original spring to assist in getting the lid to pop open, that did the trick.
