Yep, BTDT. Anyone within earshot of my garage that day would have heard harshly spoken words in reference to female dogs, women of the night, female anatomical regions, and other such well chosen pornographic descriptive phrases. Drove me to drink heavily to gain the courage and strength to wrestle the lid enough to pop the top. Since that episode, I've installed a remote wire-pull on the latch, tucked behind the muffler, just in case the latch doesn't un-latch or if the cable should break.

When adjusting, do it a little at a time or you'll be sorry.
