Ya, basically I traded that last big push after 5500rpm for a bigger faster response at 2-3000rpm.

At first I liked the little boost threshold but longer more liner V8 like building of power (boost)of the HF.

In total I think I traded maybe 30hp up top for about 30 hp at about 2700rpm or something like that.

However, the 7200 just suited my in the city driving and I got hooked on the more explosive boost response that was mostly fully in by 3100rpm (3600+ rpm for my K29).

All great turbos but different character.

The most successful turbo on a 3.3 CIS reported seemed like a single ball bearing Turbonetics 60-1. Much, much faster to full boost than the 7200 and yet had the big top end of a big turbo. Had one built but sold the car before I could try it my self.
