I'm running SSI exchangers. Interestingly, the car had a raspy sound even when the exhaust was completely stock. Still could be header related though, I suppose. On my current set up, as well as the original, each cylinder bank's exhaust pathway is separate until the turbine inlet. This is different from the Euro & late USA exhangers where the two cylinder bank's exhaust pathways merge into one after the crossover pipe.
