I do not want to get off topic but this is the solution I ended up with using a B&B half bay intercooler.
When all was closed off but the intercooler itself the cylinder head temps rose a bit. I then took out the shrouding at the back of the lid near the small filter atop the air meter assembly. That allowed air to enter right at the intake. Head temps were still higher than typical. That is a GT2 wing so I opened the dual snorkels on the sides and all was good.
