Hi
The information I got is taken from Bruce Andersons "Porsche 911" book:
The VIN numbers work in the same way world wide. This was is international and was adopted by Porsche in 81.
WDOZZZ then basically indicates a ROW car, lets go grom there:
93 means: 930
Z: Is listed as a test digit (???)
C: Is the model years (B, being 81 means that yours is indeed an 82)
S: manufacturing location (S being Stuttgart)
0: means 930 (again)
0: ROW. 911 SC or Carrera Coupe. (This had me confused a bit, since your car is a ROW930, but it seems there is no ROW 930 code)
Hope this helps
Jesper
The ZZZ indicates ROW cars and is only considered fill-ins.
