Stock J-pipe and exchangers weigh 36 pounds. My headers/exchangers weigh 15 pounds.
Stock Catalytic converter with muffler weigh 42 pounds. My single out muffler weighs 12 pounds.
Total for the OEM basic exhaust is 78 pounds; my system 27 pounds, a 51 pound or 65% weight reduction for the rear of the car.
Most if not all aftermarket systems weigh a bit more than this but still a substantial savings in weight right where it is needed most. Free power through weight reduction, you don't see that on a dyno, ha!
