now that the engine is apart i know it has the following:
newish JE 3.2 pistons and barrels
original 3.0 crankshaft (thankfully!)
SC cams
boat tailed crankcase
oil pump not looking too clever
one exhaust valve guide seized on valve
a lot of crap in the oil

the cams aren't in great shape - if i replace them should i stick with SC cams or is there anything else i should be considering? 964 or Ruf perhaps?

some of the cylinder head stud holes have helicoils fitted - should i trust them or spend a fortune having them removed and new threads machined?

does anyone what compression ration you get with 3.2 barrels (98mm) and the original 3.0 stroke (70.4mm)?
Cheers Mark
