The nice thing about the 3.0 is it has much stronger rods than the 3.3. With ports and the right cam you could do a higher rpm build that keeps the TQ under what might be to much for the transmission and yet make big HP.

The stock cams make more TQ than HP. C2's make more HP than TQ.

For example, say you do not want to go over peak TQ of 325# you would probably run at about 300# at HP peak. Depending on the cam and build if you make peak HP at say 5500, 6000, 6500, or 7000rpm and you would end up with HP numbers of about 315, 345, 375, or 400hp.

Thus, it may be possible to build a 325#/400hp motor that the 915 might be able to live with. If done right it would not even need over 1 bar of boost.

The cost of more peak HP will be the loss of some low end response as the motor will run more like a 911S than a 911SC. If you have ever diven an S motor the RPM's can be intoxicating.
