My car is an '89 911 w/ the 3-speed fan switch and levers between the seats. The problem is, the fan only comes on if the oil temp gauge gets up to the first bar (which isn't really all that often). Fan is inop most of the time. It got hot here today, so the oil temp rose and I thought I'd try the fan just for kicks. It worked great! As soon as the engine cools below the first bar though, no more heater fan. Is this a sensor problem? Everything's fine only if the engine's running fairly hot. (I still get good heat with a very cool engine, just no fan).
