yikes - I was playing around (i.e. tweaking

) with my timing today.
I had my timing gun hooked up, and also a Craftsman Engine analyzer to see what my rpm's were. Both the timing light and analyzer were hooked up to the coil. I went to turn my distributor and must have shorted something out because my motor just stopped (I think I grabbed a couple of plug wires at the same time), and I saw smoke coming out of my new 050 distributor! Popped off the cap and the little 'wire' was very black and crisp like it just had a bunch of volts go thru it.
Anyone know what I did and what I need to buy to get it up and running again. Luckly I had my old 009 and although it works, i'd like to go back to the 050.
I just cant leave things well alone... should know better by now
