The 1976-77 911 Turbo Carrera 3.0L had a "CE ring" type head gasket, similar to a non-turbo of that era.
The 1978-89 930 3.3L did not have head gaskets -- straight metal-to-metal sealing on precision machined flat surfaces.
The 1991-92 C2T had flat steel shims "gaskets" between the heads and cylinders.
The 1994 Turbo 3.6 had the same metal sealing rings as the 964/993 engines.
